We want to respect existing copyright holders so made the decision to use ‘fake’ brand names. Hopefully they’re not too hard to figure out but should you have any questions let us know. As a start-up we have a huge to do list, and one of the items to action is reaching out to these companies to ask permission to use their brand names and logos, until then we’ll keep it mysterious!

It’s a matter of detail and layers; most of our sample packs have 10+ Velocity layers, with 9+ round robins and 8+ Mic layers, that means each TCI will have upwards of 700 WAV files, many go into the thousands. What does this mean? Well, it gets you closer to the kind of dynamics you would get from a live drummer. It also means that with all those options you are into the realms of being able to truly craft your own drum tone!

As audio professionals we quite often find ourselves frustrated with samples being too processed to fit into a mix, transversely something completely natural might need a lot of work to blend in – What we’ve aimed for with our processing is a ‘goldilocks’ sample; not too raw, not too processed, just right!

In terms of hardware/software, there’s a little of both happening, but in general it’s some subtle EQ looking at dialling out anything too resonant and a little bit of dynamic shaping making
